I am so excited to share the details from my baby shower last month! Celebrating the upcoming arrival of my little ones with my closest family and friends has been something I’ve looked forward to since the minute I learned I was pregnant. I spent the last four (or so) years helping plan other people’s meaningful events while partnering with PJ at Going Lovely, so I couldn’t help but get involved in the design process for my own shower. Naturally, right?!
My amazing step-mom hosted at her and my dad’s beautiful Spanish-style home. We went with a bohemian inspired brunch, and while we originally planned a backyard soiree, El Nino came in strong that day so improvised and brought the party inside. Luckily everything fit perfectly – it was SUCH a special day that I’ll remember forever.
Let me give you few details before we jump into some of my favorite pictures shot by the oh-so-talented Hannah Suh (who, btw, is a fellow twin mama!). So, we rented the tables, chairs and dishes from AM Party Rentals, the table cloths from Classic Party Rentals, and the napkins from World Market. We used our own collection of mixed goblets for a fun bohemian eclectic look along with mismatched votives on the table. I got flowers from the San Francisco Flower Market and did the arrangements myself myself. I’ll tell ya, I just love me some eucalyptus – the whole house smelled like a spa! Finally, the invitations were designed by Kelly Murray and Hen & Co designed the matching stationary. I am still so in love with how it all came together.
I’m not a huge fan of (cheesy) baby shower games, so we just had a fun onesie decorating station following this blog post tutorial and played some baby bingo while I opened my gifts.
Oh, can we please talk about the food!? Again, my talented stepmom did it ALL (including the cake!). Delicious is an understatement. I think she has a second calling 🙂
I owe such a big thanks to all my family and friends who helped celebrate, prep the food, set up and clean up. These babies are so loved already!
